Loads of hospitality! I really enjoyed my stay there. I found the Owner extremely helpful from the time I started emailing questions from the US until I left. Breakfast was great and everyone was friendly, even the dogs!!!

This hotel is very close to san jose airport and yet you would never know it. it is also about half an hour from san jose depending on traffic congestion, it is a small hotel with a lovely garden and a swimming pool. the rooms are spotlessly clean and are a cozy haven away from home. the staff is super friendly. it is run by an english lady and an italian gentleman with their adult daughter, jessica, who are very helpful and bend over backwards for their clientele. this hotel has a restaurant that is way above average. the food is very very good and quite varied. breakfast is included and the prices for dinner are very reasonable. the hotel rate at approx. us75.00 is also very reasonable.we recommend this hotel highly.

"After spending more than a month in Central America we stayed at Villa Dolce for our last few days before flying home. As soon as we drove through the front gates we immediately felt as if we'd found an oasis. The grounds and rooms are immaculate. We were treated like family, in fact our 8 year old daughter "hung out" in the family living area/lobby/restaurant. The Italian food was fantastic, best carbonara and tiramisu we've ever had! Staff were very helpful with sightseeing recommendations and itinerary planning. Location is great, 10 minutes from the airport (free shuttle) Poas volcano and Zoo Ave."

I only stayed one night and wished I could have stayed more. The owners treated guests like part of the family. I wasn't feeling very well and they showed genuine concern. The beds and pillows were perfect, the shower was hot and great water pressure, and the bruschetta for dinner was fantastic! Other guests at the time were equally pleased. ... I would have liked a day just to lay by the beautiful pool and read in between meals! And the shuttle service to the airport was free, cordial and so easy ... And they even packed me a little breakfast since I had an early flight. I couldn't ask for nicer service.
