Villa Dolce is located in the Coyol of Alajuela, a peaceful and safe neighbourhood and residential area. The Coyol is 5 minutes away from the SJO airport.

The local bus stops right in front of the hotel’s gate, which will take you very quickly into Alajuela centre. It is also easy to get to San Jose from where we are. If you wish to travel by taxi we work with a reliable, local taxi company. They offer a great service to our guests and you pay a fair rate!

For FREE airport pick up – available daily from 6am to 8pm:
As we pick up our clients personally and cannot park or stop outside arrivals, we ask our clients to follow these instructions; phone us once you cleared immigration, collected your luggage and are outside the airport’s arrivals. Please specify if you are at the international terminal or the Sansa terminal. Airport staff will help you to make the call or please call us collect by dialling 110 from a public phone (there are many just outside the airport). It takes us 5 to10 min to get to the airport. Our phone numbers are 2433 8932 or 24334350. You don’t need to dial “00506” before the number as this is the international code. When you reserve your room, please let us know at approximately at what time you will be calling for the free shuttle. For example, if you land at 4pm, advise us that you will be calling around 5pm. It takes about 1 hour to exit the airport. Let us know in advance if you have any large items such as surfboard, baby seat or similar.

Directions from the airport BY TAXI:
Outside the airport you will find taxis waiting 24/7. This is a safe service. Please take a red taxi and not the orange ones from company Taxis Unidos. The orange taxis lost their license to operate outside the airport and even if these are safe to take they overcharge clients. Do not pay for the service in advance and ask the driver to use the meter. Don’t take taxis without the meter. You can pay the taxi once you get to the hotel. Also, if you don’t need it don’t accept if they offer you a minivan instead of a normal taxi, as this cost more. A red taxi will charge approximately 4,000 Colones ($7) from the airport to the hotel. Click_here to print a letter with directions which you can show to the taxi driver. If our gate is closed once you arrive, ring the bell once and give us a few minutes to come and open it for you. We live on the property so we will be here to welcome you no matter at what time you arrive.

Directions From the airport BY CAR:
Exit the airport heading NORTH in the direction of Puntarenas/San Ramon/Jaco beach (away from San Jose) and drive for approx. 5Km down the highway. After approx. 4Km you will see the large Dos Pinos milk factory on your left. If you see the Dos Pinos you know you are doing well! Keep driving 2 more Km until you get to a small bridge. Take the first exit on the right immediately after the bridge. Before getting to the bridge you will see a sign indicating “COYOL”. Follow the street of the Coyol for about 500Mts. You will see the hotel entrance clearly marked on the right side.

Directions from Manuel Antonio/Jaco/Guanacaste/etc BY CAR:
Drive following the signs that lead you to the international airport. Approx. 8Km before the airport you will see some large, white cement fuel tanks with RECOPE written on them on the right side of the road. Keep driving until you get to a small bridge. Take the first exit on the right immediately before the bridge. Before the bridge you will see a sign indicating “COYOL”. Go over the bridge and follow the street of the Coyol for about 500Mts. You will see the hotel entrance clearly marked on the right side. If you see on the right side a large Dos Pinos factory you know you passed the righ exit and need to go back...
